Here comes me with the list of fav. street foods which i've tasted so far.. Am from Tirunelveli, so lets start from here.. 1. Ruchi Parotta.. You cant beat their Parotta and Salna taste.. Even though, they have many branches have heard the gravy is prepared in a single place and distributed to maintain the constant taste(dunno how far its true) 2. There is one Parotta shop opp. to VOC Stadium, Palayamkottai(guess its Devi), love their taste too 3. Near that south bazaar arasaradi vinayagar temple, there will be so many mobile shops in the evening for vada, bajji, mirchi bajji and chat. 4. If u go to Tiruneveli Railway junction after 7pm, u can see lotza idly and dosa shops(!?!?!?!).. Dunno how hygienic they are but if u just wanna treat ur taste buds u will enjoy the hot hot soft idlies with spicy chutneys and sambar. Then lemme move to Chennai.. 1. @ T.Nagar just before Renganathan street there is a road which leads to Railway Station near the market, there is a Chat shop, u will get nice chat items there.. 2. Night time kulfi.. I love having the kulfi they used to bring in night.. the very first sound of the bell which they make will wake me from sleep. 3. Marina beach mirchi bajji.. 4. @ Mint Shop, there is a small shop where they provide bread bajji which will be very yummy. Moving on to Madurai, what else can u say other than Jigirthanda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:drool Next comes Bangalore.. Wow.. the gol gappay sold on the street side cant be matched with any other big chat shops.. I love them esp. in Banashankari Big Bazaar and Near BDA complex. if u go to gandhi bazaar u can find many bajji shops.. Love their stuffed mirchi bajji, capsicum bajji, etc.. @ DVG road, there is a small petty shop where they sell Lemon-mint soda, gulkand,etc.. it will be too crowded.. Wherever u go u can find fired spicy corns on the streetsides, having a bite of corn and doing shopping.. Aww i miss it.. :-( Will continue my post, if i remember anything left out.. hehehe
