    Never heard of the joint, Tindi-beedi! Where is it located?

    Shravs, Avrekai is not Surti Papdi. Surti Papdi belongs to the same family but they are tiny and are more like Chapparada Avrekai/ the common papdi. Avrekai is popular as Vaal Papdi. But the Avrekai in Maharashtra, in general, lacks the flavour and taste of our Chintamani Avrekai!

    I think the Rave Idly and Masala dosey of the Darshini joints also deserves a mention.

    Oops I dint know ! We get here in US, someone told me that it’s called as Surti Papdi . So I used it once to make Hitkidbele saaru . It wasn’t that tasty as the ones we get here in Bangalore
