In my last Snippet, Where does the soul reside? I suggested that it resides in the eyes. I just came across another fact about eyes while reading a book. I thought to share it here.
Strictly speaking eyes have no expression. They are two round objects that remain inert, it is the eyelids, the eye lashes and the eyebrows that have to take on board and rhetorics, notwithstanding that this is normally attributed to eyes.

    What do you say?

    Dear Hari Sir,

When scientists found out that what each person sees is different based on the fact that after the image falls in the screen inside the pupil, it is transmitted through the nerves to the brain, brain analyzes it with earlier images stored, and provide its decision whether it is a new object or similar to what was seen before, it became clear that our scriptures are right in stating the world is not real and it depends on the perception of each person.

    Dear Shri Viswa,
That probably will be a philosophical thinking. In actuality, we all see and define the things we see. The analysis me differ but as they say a rose is a rose is a rose.

@HariLakhera sir, I wanted to share something interesting when we are on the topic of souls.

I read an article where there was an experiment conducted on six individuals measuring their body mass at the exact time of their deaths. The scientist wanted to prove that human soul has mass and it is 21 grams. Interestingly, one out of the six people actually lost 21.3 grams of weight coinciding with the exact time of death. Of couse the sample size is very small and only one of the 6 people even affirmed the hypothesis. Nevertheless this was a very interesting experiment (21 grams experiment). It just shows how little we know and how much more there is to learn.

Also on the topic of eyes and souls, traditionally eyes are regarded as windows to the soul. The pupils of our eyes dilate and constrict according to the environment that surrounds us. Pupils dilate either when we have social interest in someone or face threat from something. Conversely, you can tell a person is uninterested in what you have to say even if their eyes are crinkly and mouths are smiling but pupils are constricted.

That is ok soul houses in body in dome corner. It could be in chest or close to heart kr within heart. But how does it leave the body. Is it through eyes or ears or nostrils or mouth or that bottom two exits. 21 gms exits in few seconds? ( scientific community rejected this MIT experimental value or the experiment itself).
Happy new year to thread creator and other respondents here.

Good. I think the mass of soul is like the mass of 21 grams cotton. Remember the funny question which is heavier-one kilo of iron or one kilo of cotton.

There is no doubt that eyes speak a lot about our emotions. Our facial expression will be nothing without our eyes, eyelids, pupils.

It is said that the soul leaves the body through the head. The close relatives wait for the big sound of the soul leaving the body of the dead on the funeral pyre.

Great monks who hv premonition of approaching death would get prepared for Jeeva samadhi and I heard a cocoNUT ( KERNAL EXTRICATED) would be struck on their head to break into semis to facilitate soul to exit.

I tend to agree. I suppose expression comes only from an analysis and computing in the brain and an ebbing feel in the core of heart.

This reminds me of a quizz question about scale pans. One side a kg of gold and other side a kg of cotton. Which pan would go down?
