I wish to purchase one saree and one blouse (hot dang, they match!) from Etsy. Etsy sellers from India require payment via PayPal. Do you have experience with PayPal? Do you need to be a member of PayPal? What if there is a dispute, i.e. you pay for something, but never received it.
Paypal is a reputed company ( they also own ebay ). You can make payment without an account I think, but Paypal is a safe way to not give your credit card information everywhere and just have it with paypal. You can dispute claims and they will take appropriate measures. This is a very popular service with college kids even to send money to each other.
You can use PayPal to pay with your credit card. I once had a problem with an Etsy seller. After repeatedly trying to contact them I opened a dispute with Etsy and got a refund from the seller. Make sure the seller has good reviews.
