    I am spellbound
Its not just a letter the true story happening in all the house where the children flew to abroad.
What is life then for parents?
    Giving birth to child?
Rising them to a standard of life?

Let them to undergo whateve they study?
Allowing them not to be at the side of their parents?

Is Education the source for this pity end?
    or
    We become senseless these days?
    or
    money drives people crazy?

    Its my pleasure Mals.
But i forgot to explain one more thing in that.
In tamil-----small coconut plant is called Thennam pillai
even the squirrel is called Anil pillai
the mongoose is called Keeri pillai.

So to rhyme with the next line, the poet, put the 'thennai' in that context.

Dear Mals, A heart rending set of letters. Shows how much we ignore our parents who has brought us to the present state. I too have a sister in US who can never be reached by phone. whenever we call her the call will only go to answering machine and most of the time she never returns the call. I use to wonder what will happen if there is some emergency. We can be career minded it doesnot mean that we should ignore our own people that too our parents. Wherever we r we shd atleast make it a point to call them n talk to them at regular intervals. No use in regretting later when every thing is over.

    Dear Sujatha,

All said and done, heart always longs for its near ones, Parents, sisters, brothers, friends, it looks out for those people who reciprocate with love. We need to return love always.... I can understand your feelings about your sister. Do not worry, every thing will be fine with her.

    Hi Aruna,

A late reply here as I tend to miss on some posts as usual.

It is human to emote and we should feel free to exhibit our feelings. There is no harm in that.

    Thanks for writing in here.

    Mals ,

Reminded me of an old story told by my grandmom when we were kids, of how a mothers love is

A DIL was tired of her MIL and told her husband that if u want to see me happy, get me yr wife's heart.

The son, in love with his wife, went and cut out the heart of his sleeping mother and an\s he was going to give to his wife, he tripped and fell and so did the mother's heart.Suddenly the heart cried out " Son i hope you are not hurt "

Sad but true really of what goes on these days around us.We can send money to our aged parents, but we cnat spare time for them.so sad.Regards.Avinashji
