Excel vs Afton Treadmills

Hi ILs,

I am planning to buy a tread mill for my personal use. Can you please suggest a good tread mill to buy in Chennai. My budget is maximum 40K.

I would like to know whether excel treadmills are good. I have seen one for 39 K with 3.75 HP with Incline option.

I am yet to see afton treadmills. But I would like to hear from ILs .

I have used Afton treadmill. And i really liked it. Have no idea about Excel brand.

I have a propel treadmill, bought 3 years ago. i remember my husband checking out most brands and then coming back to propel..the width, the smoothness and the motor were some of the factors. look at motor capacity. some heat up very faster around 30 minutes..
service also is good.

it is in storage for the past 1 year and right now i am not doing any workouts..

Actually my bro got it for me as second hand and i don't remember the price now dear. It is like 4 years back. Got it from someone who hardly used it. so it was as close as to new. I did not face any problem with that one till i used.

@afcpreethi i bought it in a propel showroom. they have their own showrooms.

My suggestion is go to all the afton, excel and other showrooms..there is another brand acme too. try them. see how much space you have to walk on.

treadmill today come with a lot of functions from playing music, to bp monitoring depending on your grease.

so try each, and note down the difference. talk to the salesguy about the heating up, the maintenance, the cost of the belt and everything.

and if you are paying ready cash you can get a better price. we negotiated a 42k machine for 36k, as it was full cash upfront..

Thanks for your detailed reply. I visited propel showroom in Velachery and found some good models for considerable rates. I will try visiting other showrooms as well.
