    Hi Shanthi,
It is true, if everyone adjusts atleast for a day or two, no problem...
You are doing a good job in making your family eat good, healthy and tasty foods....
sometimes they are not welcome otherwise..

    Dear Sri,
It's really difficult to make two types. In my house there is a strict order from my DH that everyone has to eat what I make. Whenever I make brinjal, there is a big ruckus by my younger daughter. But can't help , she has to eat it. I don't interfere between dad and daughter.

    Dear Srini ma'am sorry teacher

I can understand your situation :cry::cry:. Now its my time at home, i am the queen..i don't like kootu as i hate to see something running in my plate. Even i dont like paayasam for finding its running place in plate before serving other items. The seeds in brinjal will look like small small worms crawling for me. (You too notice it clearly, that will take the shape of worms for you too). Chaenai, sirru kizhangu, saeppa kizhangu is all like kaathu karruppu for me.:evil: So my mom avoids doing all these now a days. But before when my sisters were with us, i will be left alone with no choice other than following BhagavadGita, Bible of my mom, "Na eena panraeno adhathan saapdanum." Even now if my sisters come home, that kootu will start running in my plate. But i have learnt to adjust for my sisters sake. Kootu being their favo, they too love to have it prepared by my mom.

    Love
    Meena

    Hi Meena,
So double duty for your mom when you are around, right.
'maja kaamali kannukku parthadellam manjal'--same is the case with you on brinjal seeds, maybe as bio is your fav, you see worms in that.
I will give u a suggestion regarding payasam---why don't you drink it from a cup?
About kootu, mix it with sadam and eat as 'kootu sadam'.
ok ok, enough of my 'teachings' or suggestions.

I like you very much in that context you adjust when your sisters are around, good good...keep it up!

    Hello Sriniketan,
My mom is that kind of a person. As my brother doesn't like onions, she used to prepare all sabzi's with and without onions.
But now, in my home everybody has to eat what I cook. No excuses for kids.
But I ended up cooking two different foods for my my in-laws when they were here with less oil, less salt, less spicies etc.

    Regards.

    Shanthi,
sure our kids all have the same titles for us eventhough we are 'lenient', from our point of view!
