one of the latest trends in delhi are talent nights organized by various restaurants and pubs... these places organize special nights for local talent to come forth and showcase their talent.... be it musicians, comedians, singers... all our welcome... some of the places are mocha bar, TC, bennigans, etc... they usually advertise through the social netwrking sites like orkut and FB
This sort of 'Talent Hunts' are very dicey. My personal experience says that these so called 'talent hunt organizers' are mostly fictitious companies who extract huge amount of money on the pretext of landing you or your child in some TV shows, music videos (mostly) or modelling assignments and leave you marooned after a few months. Beware! These do not land you anywhere...the genuine casting agencies never audition in restaurants, malls or pubs. These are 'fishy' companies looking out for easy prey of people who have stars in their eyes. Any Comments? Regards, Pamella
look forward to the Jagjeet Singh concert... on 28th Aug at the Siri fort auditorium. from 7 PM onwards Northern Indian Masonic Charitable Society presents Jagjit Singh – Live in Concert. Catch the Ghazal maestro perform live at the Siri Fort Auditorium.
Very true on many counts Pamella. I personally know a cousin of mine shelling out 10K for getting her child enrolled in a 'fraud event management company' which took them for a ride on the pretext of featuring their child in a Shibani Kashyap music video (which they haven't seen the face of after 5 years). One thing all concerned who ever come across such 'talent hunt' should understand that no genuine company takes money from you to feature your child in a video - on the other hand, they are supposed to pay you, isn't it? But people forget.......... Another trick adopted by this fake companies is that they DO NOT give you much time to take decision. You have to take decisions in a few hours - to pay or you'll be left out. SO, THATS HOW EVERYONE MAKES THE WRONG DECISION. :bonk Lets hear from our friends in other cities if you too have faced such CROOKS.
