    @MalStrom, I've read a couple books by Kavita Daswani. They were light and enjoyable.

    Aravind Adiga's "White Tiger" was awesome! I didn't know he had published other books.

    Shashi Tharoor ... I'm a fan. :)

    I loved "God of Small Things" but haven't read anything else by Arundhati Roy.
