    Dear Friends,
    TRICHY INNOVATIVE LADIES UNITED NEEDLEWORK ASSOCIATION (TILUNA) is on a project to help people with diablilities like mental retardation etc. in a unique way. They are already half way in the project.
    TILUNA in association with MADURA COATS, BANGALORE and ANTEC PRINTS, BANGALORE is distributing printed canvs, thread, needle, frame etc. to interested ladies . The print is of the Srirangam Temple Gopuram. It is proposed to embroider 3000 pieces of this and sell it worldwide to collect funds for their project. Already 1500 pieces have been made ready now. This also comes with instructions in Tamil,Hindi and English. The time frame will be around 3 months.
    THIS IS A VOLUNTARY PROJECT AND NO REMUNERATION IS TO BE EXPECTED.

    Ladies, was just thinking why each of our cities can't have a needle n thread group under the Indus Ladies head? we could meet over once or twice a month... meet eachother, get to know each other better, show our work, teach stitches, share some quality time? And we could post those photos of our get together in the forum. What say? I don't know if you've already done this...just something I thot will be loads of fun....Bow

    Yes, that would be great indeed!! If not regularly atleast when all of us can get off. Come on, we need a break too :coffee. I'm already pretty excited. We could bring over our work, we can arrange for classes by the experienced ones, we could learn and teach and exchange and swap and yooohooo..
    Ok now lets decide on who will decide on each city. I'm in Bangalore now, put up at tippasandra.
