I made egg yolk scramble for Riya this morning and when I started to break it into little pieces, it was kind of sticky inside. Is it okay? It looked like it was half cooked so I dumped it. How do I cook egg yolk fully when I am scrambling it? I have been making egg yolk omelete for Riya and it comes out fine. Raj
I used to separate the yolk, beat it well with a little milk and salt and pour it onto the tava (which already had butter and sauteed onions, tomatoes) and then break it up with a ladle and then let the whole thing cook fully. Nowadays I use the whole egg and add cheese and coriander at the end. Vanathi.
Raj Place tava over medium heat. can be medium to low not high. spray with oil or adda dash of butter or little oil as per wish Beat yolk seperate in bowl, add salt, and when pan is warm (not hot) add yolk to it. will lightly sizzle. Sprinkle pepper if needed. wait for 1-2 minutes depends on quantity. When edges start cooking, with wooden spoon start stirring. Continue to stir for 3-4 mintues till you get a golden scrambled mix. Will be completly dry now. Remove from heat.

AC, I followed your instructions and the omelette came out just great! Vanathi, I added a little milk, and cooked the yolks after sauteing some onions, green peas and cilantro and added cheese on top. Even hubby tasted it while feeding Riya and liked it. I think I am going to scramble eggs for him just like that from now on.
