Jagan was always noted for his unusual desires and behaviour. Right from childhood, he had this trait of being completely different and would behave in an unpredictable manner. I can give you one example - he wanted to have a crocodile as his pet and tried his level best to do it, inspite of incurring his parents' wrath. Finally, he gave up with a sigh.

He claimed himself to be an expert in seven different fields and offered free counselling too, though he could manage to complete only a degree. None of them who lived nearby, had patience to hear him out. Finally it was time for him to marry and he was not preferred at all.

The reason was that, his fame went before his name. Finally, after so many attempts from his parents part, they all went to see a girl at a distant location. And they kept this information to themselves, for the fear of losing that alliance too.

Jagan saw the girl and did not say anything. After exchanging pleasantries, the marriage was fixed. The girl's name was Amala and she looked like a match to jagan. She too had a degree and just a year younger to him. Jagan's family returned while his parents had a small satisfaction that they were finally one step ahead.

Amala's parents were a confused bunch but. "I don't know why she accepted this boy, though she rejected so many good ones before!" said Amala's father.

"Lets be happy that she finally agreed to marry, in the first place. After all, don't you remember that she wanted to tie ropes around our necks, claiming that we were her pets earlier?" said her mother.
