The recipe that I'm posting now is a hazzle free chicken dish which will earn you a high score among your family members and if served during a party, it would become a immediate favorites of the kids. This is basically a Chinese dish and all ingredients except chicken would be readily available in your kitchen shelf.

    Ingredients:
    Chicken - 1/2 Kg
Soya Sauce (Dark) - 11/2 tbsp
    Tomato Sauce - 2 tbsp
    Ginger - 1 tsp (chopped)
    Garlic - 2 tsp (chopped)
    Onion - 1/2 cup (chopped)
    Cabbage - 1/2 (chopped) (optional)
    Cashew - 1 tbsp
Green Chilly - 2 (Finely chopped)
    For Batter:
    Corn Flour - 3 tbsp
    Maida - 3tbsp
    Salt - 2 pinch
    Pepper powder - 2 pinch
Red Food color - a pinch

    Method:

Prepare a batter with the specified ingredients adding enough water and dip the chicken pieces in the batter and deep fry in oil till crisp. Keep aside.
Now heat oil in a kadai, add the chopped garlic and ginger and saute well then add the green chilles and saute again. Now add the onion and cabbage and saute well till transparent. Now add the cashews and stir well. Then pour in the sauces and add a dash of pepper powder, stir well and immediately put in the fried chicken pieces. Simmer for sometime until all the sauce coats the chicken well. Garnish with Spring onions and serve.

This recipe tastes best when served as a side dish for Fried Rice, Schezwan Noodles, Rasam rice, Sambar rice, Chapatis etc. You can also increase the spiciness by increasing the number of green chillies as per your liking.
