Making paper beads is a different method. Here's a tutorial on them,
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW6d1hQmEgk
you can find more videos on net.Good luck.
I have used my own method in making these paper earrings:hide:
1)Take a thick paper (I used old invitation paper) and cut them into desired shape(oval, round, diamond, etc.)and size. Make 4 such pieces.
2)Place one piece, apply fevicol and place the thin headpin(which is attached to a hook) and place the other piece of paper on top of it and stick them together.
3)After it dries up, apply acrylic paint.Coat them with glue and gloss for a glossy finishing.
4)You can also just shade them with color pens or markers and draw designs on them.Kundan stones can also be sticked to it.
5)Apply a small amount of mettalic gold powder to give them a mettalic effect. :)
