Driving license in masachusetts?

    Hi,


    My friend recently moved from canada to massachusetts on a TN4 visa (dependent of her husband). She would like to know if she can get a drivers license on this visa. Please let me know.

    My dear lady,

    I think she should ask the State's Motor Vehicle Branch. Your opinion, or mine, means little. Was she born in Canada? Does her husband have a " Green Card".

    Several States are changing their rules after 9/11/2001. If she is a Canadian, and has a Canadian Drivers Licence, she will be able to drive for a time on her Canadian drivers Licence. Hower, check with the State's Motoer Vehicle Branch. The State makes the rules, not me. She should also check into American Auto Insurance.
