Drinking water during meals or before or after!

    Hi Friends,

    Lately I am getting confused about this. I have heard from some people. We should not drink water while we are eating b'cas that dilutes the stomach acid and makes hard to digest. Also makes it difficult to loose weight.. Do any of you know anything about this..or Is it just a myth?

    how r u?its true that u shldnt take water during or immediately after meals.u shld have water 1hr before having meals.i always do that.

    Hi Tulasi,
    Pretty is right. You should not be drinking water while eating or immediately after eating. My mom says that we should drink water only after 1/2 an hour of eating, otherwise you get bulging stomach. I dont know how far it is true, but i try to maintian that minimum gap.

    Thanks for the info. As of now I drink lot of water during my meals and I don't eat any junk food and also go to gym everyday. But for what ever the reason can't able reduce the fat near the tummy. will try to follow the water tips.. lets see...

    Hi Tulasi,
    I agree with everybody. You should not drink water while eating. Also you should not drink drink water half an hour before and after eating any fruits and nut varieties.

    It is recommmended to drink water 2hrs after food intake.
    You can drink water 30min prior to lunch.
    You can drink nearly 1.25 lt water early in the morning on empty stomach..which is very good.
    Daily intake of water you can take upto 4 hrs for more health benifts.

    Try to take hot water 1/2 an hr b4 and after food which will help is reducing weight...

    Drinking water in empty stomach in the morning is good. But it is not adviceable to drink water in between the meals. After meals hot water is good , which helps in reducing weight.
