    Hi,
I am shruti from Pune. I am 42 years old. I am school teacher. I have daughter who is 15 years old. Summer has already started here. So suggest some clothes to wear at school, home and while going out as it started sweating now.

    Regards,
    Shruti

    Hi Shruti,

I used to live in B'bay n visit Poona quite often, so I know how the heat can be a killer in the summer months.
The best thing to wear during these sunny days is COTTON n try to stay with light pastel colors. WHITE of course being the most perfect. Even linen n linen blends are good fabrics.

Avoid tight fitting clothes. Cotton knits are also very comfortable for summer.

Skirts (tiered, crinkled n lengths that are comfortable for you), tops (esp sleeveless or cap sleeves), Jeans (not skin tights), loose beach pants, sundresses, city shorts (which are the knee length shorts), capris....
The Indiam salwar kameez, churidars are aslo good....not heavy emb or any dark shades.

    Hope this helps.

    Stay cool.

    hi,
for school cotton saree ,churidhar -kameez with or withourt sleeves are best.
if the school is modern u can even go for long-short kurtis with cotton trousers(Wills have very nice cotton trousers)
U even can try short kurta with slacks.they also look good.
pastel shades of net with very less work & linen lining also look good.

    Hi,
The school is in village. In our school, saree is mandatory. Teacher has to wear only saree.
In pune summer is very hot. So sometimes it becomes unbearable hot during afternoon. In such case what should be done?

    hi,
one of my cousin used to work in village in north india.unexpected rain would mske temperature fall down so she used to keep a shawl & a pair of socks in staff room always.
u can carry extra blouse .i gusee u will have to have special wardrobe for school which includes light weight sarees & 2 blouses with each one plus flat slippers as u have to stand for long time.
maybe u can choose 2 pieces of saree in same colours so that u can use the blouse alternatively.
also, wet wipes are really helpful in humid areas.
