    He is giving me his finances to run our family. I take care of him and our children.I run the house so that he can go out and earn the money for his family without having to worry about our kids and our family. We are not giving each other 1-2-3 things ,we are giving each other a happy family.
    We have been married for 21 years and he loves and values me even more with every passing year. He knows the reality and realizes how lucky we are to be a family. There is nothing one sided about our family. I guess he must be weak in maths ....or maybe learn it from a different place .And JFYI ...this is how most people we know function too.

    If you know how to read please go ahead and analyze that data. If you were to pay your wife assuming she is not already earning for you, this is the salary you have to pay her to get her services. Since you are talking in monetary terms. Multiply by 30 years of your married life ( her employment under you. ) you need to pay write your assets to her in return since you in your whole life cannot pay her that salary. Now tell me why should she bring dowry?

    He is not weak in maths, he does not have friends like JKA to poison his mind. unfortunately nowadays people like JKA abound, making themselves and others around miserable.

    If equality between husband and wife is not important in marriage, what is? Charity done by husband towards wife? Is marriage name of a one-way arrangement in which husband keeps on giving and wife keeps on taking without any feeling of gratefulness or thankfulness? Should a man desirous to get married compromise with his fate that henceforth he would keep on giving, getting nothing in return?

    Why? Is this forum only for all those who have same or similar opinion on an issue? Is there no place in this forum for those who may have a contradictory view? If so, what is the use of such a forum or for such a discussion?
    So, you accept that marriage is a one-way arrangement in which wife is a big gainer and husband a big loser?

    The best way to solve it is by discussing and signing a document that says something like one will not be entitled to 50% of each other's money and wealth in case of divorce.

    With that part of the "worry" out, one less uncertainty to deal with if the couple is view that as important.
