Ajith gave a super duper hit with Vaali where he played dual roles of twin brothers. His portrayal as a speech impaired twin who is infatuated with his brother’s wife won him acclaim. The film directed by SJ Surya had Simran playing the heroine and Jyothika appearing in a cameo.
Prashanth played double role for the first time as twin brothers in the trend setting romantic comedy Jeans directed by Shankar. The film had Aishwarya Rai as the female lead and she had a crackling chemistry with her ‘paati’ played by Lakshmi. It was one of the films where the graphics was perfect and both the Prashanths were on screen simultaneously most of the time.
