Doodle A Word, A Day! :)

I didn't catch that 'shadow' theme highlight so had to flip back to read the thread. And when I skimmed back, I lost the trail of discretionary add-on theme as I was taken aback by your flair and visual expression. In one stunted word - confused! Confused on your agility and creativity. You are surplus talented. You don't slap a momentary idea into a crimped picture but structure a narrative into a thoughtful frame. You must know your precious worth and if you do, know that you are more than that.

I run into either trouble or slumber with my wayward reflections, hence, keeping it short. The doodles are beautiful. More than beauty, they convey a sense of articulation in every nib prick right from the choice of the colour to the wantonness in those brush strokes.

I dub any organised thread in IL as a 'lighthouse' in my mental box. Say, Shanvy's Lunch Ideas or Jag's Carnatic Music or your homespun Doodle A Day. No matter how remote one is in the choppy and wild sea, you still faintly home in on those pulsations and smile because you realise that the homely comfort in the virtual sorority is not lost on you. That comfort to me is women here who are driven, constructive and inspirational. You, kaniths, stand tall in one such lighthouse with your drive and passion and sustained focus. Shine in that pride.

Word a day? Let's talk about words we detest. Do you have words you hate? Ones that you would obliterate if you could? I do. Top of the list is "edamame". Jeez, how I hate that word!!! @!~$%^@**&^!! Ban that wretched word. Ban it N-O-W!!!!! I just saw it in print. Now I have to go take a shower. Ugh. I hate, hate, hate it.
Did I say I hate that word? I hate it.
