    Hi,

Wanted your opinion on how easy is the path here after doing MBBS in India. I see that, after doing there, need to do the USMLE and get into a residency program here. Which route is easier, doing here or there, need details about how long it takes to establish here after finishing MBBS there.

    Thanks for your feedback.

It is doable but difficult if you have a foreign medical degree. Residency programs in US are very competitive. It is not impossible with MBBS from India but the path will be tougher than if you have US medical degree. It will help if the Indian degree is from a prestigious institution like CMV Vellore or AIIMS.
Once you pass all the exams you have to apply for residency and wait to get matched. The residency program will be from 3-6 years depending on the speciality. Once that is successfully completed then you can start practicing.
