Nice write up... Hi Preethi, Your write up is really good. It is an interesting and educative info. about your place. I am glad you are calling it home, and the positive attitude makes a big change when we are living away from our home towns. So, do you have lot of friends there, are there many Indian families, & how about the acceptance of women in public places. I hope you will continue to have a good time. Thanks and take care, Krupa
Thank You ! HI NIdhi, Thanks for your comments ! I am glad that you enjoyed my write-up about Doha. Yes, I always enjoy whichever place I am in. Also as my first impression about Qatar was impressive, I started loving this place more ! I don't have much friends here, only handful. There are lots of Indians residing in Qatar (Mostly from Kerala and Tamil Nadu). Ladies are given good respect in Qatar. We, as Indians, and hindu's, have no restrictions on us. Lot of ladies wear sarees here and move around in social places and also you can see the "Kumkum" applied in most of the ladies forehead. Ladies can even drive on their own. Many ladies (both qatari's and expats) wear their traditional as well as modern dress too ! Doha, is quite an enjoyable Country, in my view ! am sure I will enjoy the country as long as am here. Once again, thanks for the feedback ! Love, Preethi
