At times it helps as the saying goes "Union is Strength".
A young professionally educated girl in our kin circle refused to be married to a rich robust young guy who had no siblings and no uncles or aunties or mother! I was bewildered, When she said such a connection in life " will be monotonous" without any celebrations among kith and kin. She averred that Isolated and insulated life would put her over a period into interminable depression.
Life is Like That but only for few!

 

We live in a community where parties are endless and it is almost mandatory to show off indicators of your material wealth.
People are rich.
Conversations are poor.
I have reduced my socializing to tea with friends rather than dancing at loud parties.
I wouldn't say it's an introvert thing but a choice to conserve one's mental energy.
It's a good way of life IMO
