Hi all
I have few questions. How much money (minimum) is sufficient to show the proof of funds?

Also what are the documents that we need to carry to the bank to get the letter? Is there any format that we need inform the bank about this letter?

Plz let me know. We are going to the bank tomorrow.(its in different city)

We are applying for my mil (tamil appt.) but dates are not available. But we have asked her to go thru' an agent who has helped her colleague to get a visa.
We need to send all the documents by next week & not all sure about the dates.

Hi All

I have booked my mil's appt on Aug 26th in Tamil & it didn't asked me to fill D-157 I just filled D 156 & then was able book that date. I am little worried whether she needs D-157.

BTW we are applying only for her Visa not for my fil.

Sorry everyone.

Just now I read the General Instructions & it says form DS-157 is for people from 15-55 & she is 57. I guess that's the reason.

Hey congrats Dhivya....you are correct D157 is not required if the person is above 55.....

My mil is appearing for visa on 26th in tamil.

If any one have some sample Q I can prepare her. She is very nervous.

Let me tell u abt her.

She is working in TNEB & only she is traveling( bil is working & fil is taking care of him). With all this I guess her chances are good.

But she is very nervous & keep asking my DH about Q. Thats y I am asking u.

We are preparing documents for my mom for the interview.I have a Question, like do we need to get the full bank details - bank statement for the whole balance or a statement from 1 bank is enough(mim.balance)....Pls. share ur opinion here.....
