    Do you remember your credit card numbers? At least one card's number?

    Long ago, I had only one credit card and there used to be no CVV code. I remembered this card's number and expiry date. Also back then, they didn't use to send new cards so often like they do now.

    Now, each time I shop in a new website, I have to find my cards, recall which one to use, locate my glasses and good light to read the number. : )

    I developed pneumonic like vibgyor to remember long numbers as in credit card insurance policy etc. now best method seem to be to include it in phone directory in smart phone with some dummy number or and alphabet AA prefixed like year of birth...so that it pops up on top

    No i dont. I used to, when I had just one card. Now i have few different cards and use different one for different purposes. So it is hard.

    its the same problem for me ..every time searching for cards to enter numbers while shopping . i used to remember my first CC number . once it expired and got another one could never remember again but now i follow a wrong practice actually...take a pic of all the cards and save it in my phone safely to use as needed.

    Too much for my grey cells. So I stick to one credit card for online purchases and have memorised all the details, one credit card aded to fitbit/paypal.
    The other spare credit card I rarely use and is locked up .

    I have been writing vignettes as part of my memoir. Haven't accomplished or endured anything so great as to deserve to be documented but there happen to be people interested in reading it, so I write. So in that writing, there are prompts such as: your first day of school, favorite childhood toy, first job, first salary, first time living away from home and many more. Most questions come from there. Currently, I am writing about first job hunt, interviews, and how I spent my salary in those years. Credit card came up in that writing. Also, I was ordering some things from other websites online that are not available in Amazon and had to fetch my credit card and wished I could recall the number.
