Hey Mindi, Did you sound like my mom who always said, will I ever own anything, I would borrow here shoes, bags, sarees in fact everything that she had! Most of the time, I would wear it first and then let her wear. There would be a small bet between herself and my sis of my liking! Mals will take this, no, my sis would say, this colour she does not like, but, if... till I return from office and give my final take on it! The next day lunch is at some hotel nearby by the person who lost the bet!! Ha ha! Mindi you too rocking with Payaliyan!! Jhanhariyan Chanki ke Nah Chanki Chanki Bijuriyan Chamki ke Nah Chamki Chamki!
very nice poll...my answer would be...with tinkles when at home like for festivals etc...without tinkles for regular use...
Dear Mals, Just saw this thread. I luv to wear payal for sure. In younger days my mum use to buy for me lots of them (pure silver). As I studied in convent I cant wear them.. only on holidays. My favorite was the "maam eelai". The payal which symbolize manggo leaves. Light sound is my choice. Untill now i do have my mum's gifts. Always will wear them on occasions. It's not suitable with my work enviroment as i have to wear safety booth most of the time for work (automotive industry). But i still wear payal under my socks.. a very thin one as my love for anklets hard to leave without it. Luv, Vanisha
Hi Malspie, I do wear anklets till this day. I love it too. But i will prefer thin one & tinkles which produce little sound! I used to have some collection of them till marriage. Now i have only one pair!!!! Anyway i will be wearing!!!
Hi Malspie, That's an interesting poll (especially in a majority ladies site I love anklets, more in my childhood days. I studied in a christian school. It was not allowed to wear bangles, anklets, hanging earrings, big bindhis, etc. So I used to wait for my holidays, so that I can start wearing my anklets. During childhood my favorite was anklets with plenty of tinkles. As I grew up, I slowly moved towards thin anklets with less tinkles, may be just 3 near the lock. Even now I love wearing anklets. But I don't wear when I am here cos it doesn't go well with the pants that we wear here mostly. But during my trip to India, I make sure I wear it. Malathy
Dear Malspie, I love wearing anklets. Especially thin ones with less sound. When i was in school, i used to scare my little sister by making sounds in dark room.
