As Shanvy said I too have read in a magazine that in Feng Shui, a fish called Dragon Fish is kept in their home aquarium and this fish can sense negative vibration of the visitor and will act aggressive.

I definitely believe this drishti.. same as Rakhii says, when i take my LO for an outing and if people comment on him, he has a consequence facing with his behaviour or health or any minor accidents. Now a days, with the insist from my MIL, i hardly upload his pictures to the facebook also,,, :) Sounds silly, but i have no other go.. its sometimes me or many times they who believe this fact. Also, i take drishti with salt, when ever we come back home from a party or a meet up ...

On Raksha bandhan day I experienced this again....DS was jumping & a live wire & everyone appreciated his abundant activities....& then from 1.30 am to 4 am he was crying for having leg pain. I tried the warding off with rice but he wouldnt let me do it....he was just sleepy & seems legs were hurting badly.....

I finally exhausted, prayed to Ganapati to let DS get some sleep so that we can sleep.....& then DS slept off in some time.

Sorry Rakhi missed your post. My Mom normally takes a rice lump in her palms & puts some kajal dot on the lump & makes 3 circles around DS or me & washes it off in sink & then wipes our eyes with water.

Oh... I have multiple experience of this

Whenever I upload my son's pics in FB, and get 100s of positive comments from others, the next day he is sick or hurt himself.
I limited the uploading although I could not control it

I have a colleague, who has a son of my son's age. Whose son is not so active, and attractive. Without understanding her jealousy, I sometimes overly talk about my son and his active works at home. This woman says, why her son is not so active.....The next moment, I hear from my mom that my son is not feeling well.
But I do the same talking with my other friends, those have either little or elder kids than my son, and never ever experienced this. So, now a days I dont talk child matters with this woman.

Above all... believe me or not
Whenever my son is taken to my in laws' home, the next day he falls sick. A weird fever, that never goes off with paracetamol, panadol or cal pol syrups as usual. It lasts for the whole day-night, and finally I must take him to the emergency room for ice treatment and higher dose medicine to reduce the fever that reaches upto 104 and never reduces.

But the next day, he appears very normal without even having a sign of any fever. The doctors are also not in a position to guide us here.

As you all know, I am not in talking terms with in laws, but my husband rarely take my son to their home. Now a days my son do not fall on that type of sickness (touch wood).

I used to NOT to believe in these type of matters since birth. I was raised in a modern environment, and never even put a black bindi in my son's forehead since his birth. But after suffering this, I started reading on what is evil eye, and negative energy and hence asked my pastor to pray for my son, and give him a permanent guard (a blessed cross in his neck).
I used to pray so hard and ask God to save him from evil eyes, whenever he has to pass my in laws. Other Drishtis are not so harmful, just some illness like cold and fever.. But this is really stressful.
