Do I require any further qualifications for lecturer job?

Hello All,

I have done BSC Computer Science and having almost 5.5 years in IT companies as a "ERP consultant". But now i want to move to Lecturer job as like teaching.

Request you to provide some guidelines like what additional qualification if needed or how to proceed for my aspiration.

Hai Jamil,
Best wishes to achieve your aspiration. But You have to raise your qualification from your ug degree to pg in m.sc computer or mca. and have to finish m.phil. in your pg specialisation in regular stream not in correspondence course. and above all you have to clear csir-net exam in your pg subject after finishing ur pg. you refer the site www.ugc.ac.in for further references or www.hrdcsir.com. I am preparing for the net exam in english as i am in arts stream.

you can try for teaching job at schools and junior colleges (Maths & Computers) ...

if possible, try to pursue a bachelors degree in education OR a course in practical teachers
training . you should improve confidence that you can teach well as it is more important

hi charmingpooh,

For BE degree mostly they hire in private colleges..

If you want UGC pay then you have to complete ME and National or state eligibility exam.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I have one query regarding the NET or SET exam, Can the distance learning MSC /MCA qualification will be eligible for this UGC NET or SET examination?
