Re: Diwali You normally put something made of flowers on the main enterance door. These days u get artificial decoration also. Put many many Diyas or T lights these days. Put decorative Rangolies for atleast 8 to 10 days. And keep your house sparkling clean. They Say Laxmi enters the house which is clean and tidy :thumbsup We make Chakli, Laddu, chiwada, Shev, Barfi, Papdi, Karanji, Anarsa and many more traditional Sweets.
Apart from using rangoli colors and coloured rice in rangolis, you can try making a rangoli with flowers or petals. Best is marigold. Keep some flowers intact while for some, separate the petals. Make a design on the floor with chalk and spread the petals over the design. Light some diyas on the rangoli. You can also try placing small brass lamps on it or in the middle.
Hi Supandi, Beautiful... thanks for sharing... I had painted my Diyas and have applied 3D outlines..was thinking about placing them in unused CDs or mounting them in Thermocol.. but your idea of keeping them in a mat is superb...
