    Hello friends,

I am 17 weeks pregnant now. Yesterday i went for ultrasound scan. Everything came out normal in the report except 'distended urinary bladder'.

The doctor said that it was normal. But I am still concerned about it. ILites who know about this.. pls come forward to explain...

    Hi Thaen

First of all congrats on your pregnancy. I am not much aware about the distended urinary bladder but when doctors say it is normal there is nothing to worry about it. If there would have been a problem ,the doctor would have told you about it. So you dont worry about it and just enjoy your pregnancy. Take care and eat healthy.

distended means-stretched; swollen, well I am not sure of this condition but at my 20 weeks scan my baby's kidney also showed some measurements out of range but dr. has said to wait till 32 weeks scan to check again.sometimes as the baby grows these issues are sorted out.So do not worry & see what dr. says in next scan. You can ask Dr. what can be the implications of such condition.
