Dishwasher And Citrus Press

    hello ladies

    I am planning to buy a dishwasher. As a person who has never used a dishwasher. I have a few concerns. Which is the best dishwasher tablet? Wont dishwasher detergents leave harmful chemical residue?

    Has any of you tried diy detergent tablets?
    Do they work? I find natural detergents very expensive. Are there any economical ones?

    Regarding citrus press,
    I recently noticed that my citrus press has rough edges in the area we place halved oranges. Does this happen with all brands?
    My citrus press is plastic. Will a steel citrus press react with acidic orange or lemon juice ?

    Getting a dishwasher is one of the best decision I made. Utensil cleans much better and sparkly like new. I have used Finish, Astonish and Clean Fresh tablets. All were good n give equally good result. No residue. You can go for any detergent. All r good.

    Thanks for the response. Can I keep ceramic pans in the dishwasher? Have you tried home made tablets?

    Yes you can wash ceramic in dishwasher. I have ceramic coated kadhai from Prestige which cleans perfectly. All glass, food grade plastic, stainless steel, bone china, non stick etc cleans well. Only aluminium n cast iron utensils can't be cleaned. I even wash wooden belan ( for roti) in dishwasher.

    I have never used home made tablets. Don't know anything abt it.
