    Re: Modular Kitchen Cabinet

    hi cindhuja
i have been going over your responses and making me more excited to know more,as were also in the processing of setting up one in our kitchen..
could you please let me know, did you remodel your kitchen or bought a branch new one from cookscape...
in our case, we have a existing kitchen, that has the kitchen stand made of black granite stone..we just bought the flat recently before few months, though we didnt opt for a new kitchen model at that time because of budget issues....
now we need to furnish or model that...
looking at the pictures you attached...am not sure if we can set up the burners in our already existing stand? is that possible..or should we just keep our kitchen stove over it and use it....but doesnt look aethetic though?
also, we already have a single sink made of stone..will they make it into twin sink with stainless steel coating on it...but we have only one tap currently? please suggest can we alter it?

    hi geet,

Twin sink as you described is the best choice...Dont ever compromise this...

Likewise i too feel the same..won't they look heavy and thick if it is completely teak?? Of course will look glossy still i personally will not prefer it..better to go for a combo..Y not you ask for a sample photo or clipping of their choice??

    hi vahrija,

We did the kitchen work for our new flat .. So very sorry yar...i am not able to answer your queries...but fitting a burner shouldn't be a hard task..so dont worry ... now-a-days most of the people go for re-modelling

    all the best :thumbsup

    Re: modular kitchen in chennai

    Arthy,

I do not understand what you is your expectation.

    there is dream kitchens.
    ILA kitchens,
    Modfurn
    Godrej interio.
    mamre.in,
    modularkitchenmasterkraft.com
    budfurn.com

If it is the budget, then all these specialist are going to be costly.

you can always go for your custom made kitchens. there are good small players too.

you can have things done as parts too, if you are in good rapport with your carpenter/contract person.

The person if he is good, will check your space and give the best layout and for more ideas you can google and take the ideas from them too.

    all the best.

    Re: Discuss :- Modular Kitchens

    hi cindhuja and others.

we already moved to our new flat and had the kitchen built in ..
now we want to model it..
but ,what i wanted to know, since we already have a sink ,that is made of granite..is it still possible to get a steel covered sink ( like we used to have here in US)..please let me know...what we need to specify to the kitchen modeller, if we need the sink in that way...
    on the other hand...
do you think is it good to go for complete remodelling and install a brand new kitchen..
all am looking for is something similar to what we have in US...

    Geet099,

I would say if your sink is granite and not cuddappah just leave it intact, a stainless steel sink though looks nice initially, it does not take the wear and tear well. if you are in a place with water shortage/hard water then leaving it as it is the best bet. and work around the sink. blend it with the decor.

you cannot place a sink on top of the granite. you would need to remove them sink. as it comes as a single piece, you can get a good worksman to remove it fully or just break and condemn it.

you can go for a remodelling, calling for one of the decorators, or use a local good carpenter, with your ideas.

it all depends on your strength in the M issue.
