Re: Buying a house in Medavakkam this month we finalised a property in medavakkam. it's a duplex with 1440 sft land with built up of 1900 sft. only 1 was available out of the 15 in a compund. the builder is very reputed & known to my uncle. area is fine, plan is good. construction quality is good. the builder is currently laying the approach road from the main road - he is spending & doing it.

Re: Buying a house in Medavakkam i have not lived there. but people say it's ok. i doubt there is any area with out a problem. my in-laws place is purasaiwakkam and just behind the tank bus stop. that area was flooded during last year rains and all tenants at the ground floor had to move things up since water came in. in the nights they had to adjust either in the terrace or with neighbours on 1st floor. my parents are in velachery close to the canbank. 10 mtrs from their house the whole area was flooded. friends in mylapore, mandaveli, etc. were also facing the same problem. so by now we should be prepared to face such challenges. the new developments are on a raised level & hence water will not enter your compund or house. the area mightget flooded - can't do anything about it.
Re: Buying a house in Medavakkam hi all, i had been staying in medavakkam all these years........ its one of the most developing areas and is therefore a worthy investment. kindly check out with the drainage or etp plant with the proposed builder cos the flat in which we were staying had drainage problems.cos all the waste water is let in the lake.....which got flodded during the rains in 2006 and the drainage problem is yet to be solved. overall a nice area to invest. deepa

Re: Buying a house in Medavakkam Hi Frens, Have any of u heard about the Vasavi builders in Chennai? They are building apartments like Vasavi Anicham in siruseri and Vasavi magestica in Medavakkam. Re: Buying a house in Medavakkam Need feedback about Balachandra Builders "Iris" Project in Jeyachandran nagar, Medavakkam. They have only 3 bedroom apartments. Flats prices are around 55 lakhs. How good is this Jeyachandran Nagar and this builders?. The project will be completed in september 2009.

Cost - All Inclusive: 62L - Works out to 3,200 / SFT. In this development all are sold out but there is another one from the same builder between Medavakkam & OMR. I remember that was around 2,500 / SFT - separate plot plus duplex. If you are interested I can get more details & shall post here.
