Different opinions in raising kids and leading to fights

one of my friend had this problem.
during one of our get together the kid mentioned in front of everyone that "daddy slaps me"..it was very embarrassing and it could have been worse because they could have called child services,.
You can tell your husband about the possibility of this happening and tell him to be strict with the the kid but not physically hurt them. They might take the kids away from you for that.
