    Hi,

I am having trouble finding the difference between the NorthAmerican teacher teaching the Violin and Indian teacher teaching Violin.

To tell my story in short, we have a music teacher(indian) teaching our kids vocal(kids aged 4-8). It had been only 2 weeks. The teacher is suggesting to include the violin in the class. But the parents are hesitating because the kids can become more interested in violin not the Vocal. Also fear of teaching the kids Violin in Indian style.

I didn't understand what is the difference, why parents are looking into it so deeply. Can anybody suggest me....

I don't think there is any difference in learning/teaching violin by Indian & non-Indian teacher.
The method of teaching would be different, but kids will follow/pick it up both Indian & non-Indian ways.
Its all the basics they are learning first, then they can use the notes to play both Indian & NI songs.
