Diaper Changing time

hi Akhil,
How old is ur LO?? Initial months, you need to change frequently.
Also depends on frequency of wetting. Often we need to change daipers may be after 3 times of wetting........or you can notice if its bulged, you can change it. When Cherry was in intial months I used to change atleast 7 daipers a day.

it depends on the age and the amount of wetting too. For my 18 month old girl i approximately end up changing every 4-5 hours and also in between if she did poop. how old is your baby?

Hi i am due in jan 2010. i too want to know from experienced ladies that how to get to know when its time to change diaper and how often i should check baby for diaper change. i feel if somehow i forgot to change diaper for long will it be harmful for baby skin. Also in case of newborn how we should handle this.:bonk.
i hope i am not asking very basic thing :hide::hide:

For a new born you probably would change a diaper before/after every feeding session. New borns typically eat every 2-2.5hrs..So initially you will be changing 10-12 diapers every day sometimes more too..

When my LO was new born, I use to change his diaper and then feed him sometimes other way round too...You can set yourself thar routine so that you don't forget..And I am sure once you do it a couple of times you will not forget..

I was asked to change diapers before every feeding.. I feed him every 3hrs once(8 times) so I change diapers that many times..

also, we need to see how much he/she is wetting or pooping too.. :rotflslowly you will learn anjali

I am using pampers swaddlers now.When it is a new diaper you can notice a yellow straight line on the diaper when you put on the baby.If he/she is wet then that color changes to light green indicating a wet diaper.You can change once in 2-3 hrs everytime you feed or notice this change of color or a bulgy diaper.

As mridusudha said,I also change the diaper before every feed so that i don't forget,in that way you don't disturb his/her sleep after the feed.

Am also using pampers swaddlers only(preemie size but).. but what is that colour change you are talking about? let me know !!!
