Sujakalyan has mentioned Kamala Haasan while posting the dialogue. So, I feel it can't be Thambi. It has to be one of those Kamal movies where he comes as police inspector. The movies that come to my mind are 'Vettaiaadu Vilaiyaadu', 'Kaaki Sattai' etc.
