The state of American democracy is such that they make it near impossible for Independent Candidates to get on the ballot.

There are tons of things which independents have to do to get on the ballot which the Democratic party or the republican party candidate does not.

On top of it, they will use all means to keep these eligible candidates out.

RFK Jr should have been the democratic party nominee and he is a democrat at heart. Not what the democratic party as it exists today but what his dad RFK and his uncle JFK led.

But the those who pull the strings in the democrat party got in Kamala in, without a vote being cast for her.

Now, on the New York State ballot which is heavily democratic state, RFK Jr has been removed from the ballot. RFK has a New York Drivers License, he has a New York voters card, he has a New York residence. Yet loop holes have been found and the Democrat backed judged has ruled out RFK Jr from the New York ballot.

Did someone say America has a fair democratic process to elect their leaders. Yeah right!

Here is why it is important to vote of independent instead of democrats or republicans if you are not fully sold on either party.

The independent does not need to win the presidential election. Even if they win 10% this will start a grass root movement from the counties to congress to senate where lot of third party candidates will come in to fray and what democrat and republicans do interchangeably by neglecting the american people and sending money for wars overseas. Provoke Russia, china, Syria, Libya, Iran, Venuzuala, instead of taking care of Americans.

$20 billion send to Israel again this week. Why not invest that for better health care ( which is worst among all developed nations ), but education for children, better infrastructure inside the country.

Right now RFK Jr is on course to get that 10%. His only sticking point is the support for Israel. So, think and choose your vote carefully. Your vote, is a statement.

I read that RFK Jr approached both the campaigns, Trump's and Harris'. He offered each of them his endorsement of their campaign in return for a cabinet position.

The problem is that you don't have enough time to do your due diligence.

This is not a crime, lot of people don't have time and will go with their preconceived notions or where the wind is blowing at the last moment. That is the pitfall of democracy.

Btw, someone deleted my post on 215000 gazan homes destroyed by israel. No messages or reasons mentioned. Free speech issues at indusladies as well?

I stated a fact about RFK Jr's campaign that casts a shadow on his 'independent' candidacy.

Your response was about my time availability. A classic example of a common fallacy - the ad hominem fallacy.

Yes. He approached not one but both, and the Harris campaign did not even talk to him.

I would have ignored his outlandish views, the bear carcass, and the sexual allegations. But if he approached both campaigns, how independent is he!

What you responded is not the topic of this thread.

You took it in a different direction in order to discredit RFK jr instead of responding to the point of the post which is the Democratic party and it's super PAC trying to get him off the ballot through hook or crook.

But that's okay, that's how conversations go, they flow like a stream in different directions.

Your quote that he approached both parties which is a incorrect. You could have reasoned when you made the allegation but instead you chose a response which seems much closer to
    ad hominem fallacy.

You are free to challenge me by explaining his reason for approaching two parties and how there is a sound background to his reason.

Your reasoning that he just needs a cabinet position and jumping to either side for that is not something which anyone who has followed the current election will buy.

Is he an independent? Yes. But he is a Democrat first whose opportunity to represent the party was stolen by again hook and crook.

He wants to go back to the Democratic party which is an open secret.

Errr. His father had no problem becoming the under qualified Attorney General under his brother JFK, for which his most important qualification was he was the brother of the POTUS. He is the reason the anti nepotism law is called the “Bobby Kennedy law”. He is the reason a law had to be enacted which states that presidents cannot appoint family to cabinet positions. They still can appointed to White House staff, which is why the presidents still appoint family to some positions.
RFK Jr needs to first of all, stop calling attention to his father’s service to the nation lest someone remembers the Bobby Kennedy Law. As someone who is so invested in RFK jr, you could look into the family background a little no?
As for him being more qualified and Kamala taking the nomination, his family set the precedent for the current day Democratic Party pulling a Dark Brandon. He’s just got to have to live with what his uncle tactfully started.
