yes you are correct. many people are missing their break fast due to diet. Actually that is wrong. we should not miss break fast.
Aval (Poha) Puli (Tamarind) Upma Ingredients: Mustard seeds 1 table spoon' Channa dal and Udad dal 1 table spoon each Red chilly 10 -12 Ground nut 2 table spoon Oil to cook uppma Curry leaves one handfull Asafoetida powder 2 pinchs Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon Thick Aval/Poha/Beaten rice 2 cups Tamarind one lemon size ( soak in water with salt) ingelly oil 1 table spoon (optional) Method: First put salt in tamarind and extract water from that. This will help us to extract all the essence from tamarind. In a Uruli or deep pan, pour oil and make seasoning. Then put Aval and fry well. Then add tamarind water and mix well. Close it with a lid and check it after 5 min. then sim the flame and close the lid. let it be for another 5 min. Add gingelly oil to uppma . This will give a good flavor to Uppma and also this will avoid the uppma sticking with vessel. Again close the lid for 10 more min. Now it is cooked, you can transfer Aval Uppma into a plate and serve with thick curd.
