Deepavali - and a day well spent .

I had been procrastinating for long ... but this Deepavali I had decided I would do it .. Yes ..my visit to the Good Life Orphanage again.

My first visit to the orphanage was for the IL anniversary... after that even though I had spoken to Mr Bhaskar many times, I never could make it.

So on Deepavali afternoon, I roped in my sister and Brotherinlaw and we went to the Orphanage.

There are 130 children now and people from our last visit may remember baby Priyan who has now grown into a little boy. and ofcourse there was Sooriya who kept us smiling with his song rendition. The orphanage has moved into a new spacious building.

We took some deepavali sweets for the children and made some monetary contribution. There were two other couples who had come when we were there .

Obviously the orphanage does receive funds , but it just wont suffice and its people like us who need to unite and contribute in whatever way we can .
