    Hi all, bie1

we all hear of what we should eat and what to avoid during pregnancy..I did see few threads which have similar data. But it would great if we can post our daily food as in BF lunch and dinner. So that we could help each other, specially people who are cooking on their own during pregnancy without anyone's help or their spouse help. Also what food to take to keep problems like constipation/vomiting at bay,to increase Hb count in blood, to get sufficient amount of calcium all by means of food rather than medicine. To know what food to eat as we step into each trimester.I hope I will get company. Crossing my fingers  and wishing everyone a H & H pregnancy.hugsmiley

    Hi..
Here is what i had for first 22 weeks: No Soda's, sweets (I just had them occasionally).

    1. Breakfast:
    soaked badam
    Orange Juice (freshly squeezed)
Bread/bagel with cream cheese (u can use eggs, I was not able to eat due to nausea) or
    Dosa /idli ( during weekends)
    2. Mid day snack: Fruit.
    3. Lunch: rice and curry or kichidi . (Soup if not time to make lunch)
    4. After noon snack: Cheese & crakers or Cup of milk
    5. Lunch: Rice / Roti with curry.

When I had nausea a lot i was on kichidi or fruits. With the above diet I was on track with my weight and everything looked good.
Just a tip: Avoid fruits and milk in morning, u can have them after 11:00. In the morning insulin resistance is low for all during pregnancy so having more protein and less crabs/Sugar in the morning is better. Have home made barley water instead of water (This helps flushing all the toxins).

But unfortunately at 22 i was diagnosed with gestational diabetic. Its usually done after 26, But I went early due to diabetic history and now I am low card diet with no more than 20-30 gm of carbs per serving. Below is my diet now.

    Breakfast:
    Soaked Badam,
2-Egg whites , with cheese and some veggie (veggie if I have time).
Mid day snack. (After 3 hours)
Boiled beans or half english muffin with peanut butter/cream cheese.

Lunck (After 2 hours): Soup (home made with veggies and beans)

Snack (After 3 hours): Fruit with cheese or Fruit with almond milk or Just glass if milk.

Dinner (After 2 hours): Grilled or baked meat with lots of veggies (Grilled or styr fry) or Salad.

Bed time snack (After 2-3 hours) before bed. I skip it if I have late dinner,
1/2 cup yogurt or 1 cup butter milk.

    Hi,

Can i have palm sugar (panankarkandu ) during first trimster. It avoids the nauseating feeling, just wanted to confirm.

What do you mean? Periods like discharge?
Brown discharge can be normal, not the fresh blood. If you see fresh blood, report to your doc! That would be best for you & the baby!
    Take care.
