    Re: hand knitting

    Hi Humera,

I learnt to crochet and knit last year. It is sooo much fun!! :)
Anyways, here are two websites that have tons of free patterns.

Knitting -> Knitting Pattern Central - Free, Online Knitting Patterns - Beginner Knitting Instructions - Knitting Tips, Tricks, Testimonials and More!
Crochet -> Crochet Pattern Central - Free, Online Crochet Pattern Link Directory - Beginner Crochet Instructions - Crochet Tips, Tricks, Testimonials and More!

I refer to these 2 websites any time I want to start a new project.

Good luck and let us know how the sweater turned out :) :) :********

    Re: hand knitting

    Hi all

Do anyone know the name of the needle which we use for knitting woollen rubber bands (the needle will be having a hook kind of thing at one end).

I know only that knitting pattern where we use only one needle and not two.....

    Re: hand knitting

    subha,

You are talking about a crochet needle. and crochet is made with a single n eedle.

normally the no of the needle depends on the wool and the tension of your work..that is how loose or how tight you do ur work.

for a simple rubber band you can use no.10.

If you still have doubts, you can check out the thread for crochet work here..

    hi sanravi,

The cool colors used by you are very beautiful. and the wool also looks very soft. your son is definitely going to look cute and also going to enjoy it for a 3/4 years as the ribbing has elasticity

the simple st.stitch and the double rib looks very neat. but have you made up the sleeves from the outside...seeing a chain on the sleeves.
