    Dear alll,

My cousin is pregnant and she has completed 3months.She had an ultrasound y;day and the report says everything is fine except that the placenta is little on the lower side. But the doctor has told her that 99%chances are there that the placenta will go up. but in the meantime she has to be careful not to lift weights.

She's tensed about this thing as this is her 2nd pregnancy and this problem had not been ther during her first one.Can anybody advice if there is any problem in the future months and if she will be advised complete bed rest if this problem continues.

Urgent help needed. Thnx in advance

    Kamath

    Hi kamath
Her doctor is correct, in early months placenta may be lower but with advancement of pregnancy the uterus grows in size & it is corrected in 99 % times. But she has to be careful notr to lift wts.
She has to be on bedrest in later months only if the USG confirms that placenta is very low & she devlops some spotting or pain otherwise no need for complete bed rest.
    Best of luck
