Could You Help Some Sewing French Ladies ?

Namaste sewing Indusladies,

I'm a french sewing lady and I will soon visit north India.
Of course, I want to buy some indian fabrics to sew occidental clothes.
And some of my friends would like me to buy fabric for them.
But here is my problem : one of my sewing friends want mirror work SILK fabric and I'm not sure to find this, as I only know mirror work cotton fabric.
Could you tell me if I can find this special fabric in Delhi (or Agra or Mumbai) ?

Hi Mireille,

If you are in Delhi, visit this market called Chandni Chowk. It's hugeeee.

It has many many varieties of fabric, both traditional or western in wholesale rates.

You have to ask around and find the right shops and that may require some searching.

Take a local friend if possible as it may get a bit hard to venture or find the right shop without a Hindi speaking friend.

I would like to buy quality fabric; can I find this at Chandni Chowk ?
I remember buying cheap khadi that lost colours on the first wash and I prefer avoid repeating the same...
On internet, I find many tips for purchase in Delhi but I will ask about that on the shopping forum...
You're right, Ashneys, I need help to find good sewing fabrics at the best price...
Is there any (very) kind Induslady who accept to go with me in Chandni Chowk (or another place in Delhi) on August 5th or August 19th ?
Of course, I can bring some french stuff for you...

Just like any market, it has a mix of best n worst quality products. There are big shops in there too. You can enquire with them n personally check the products.

For company, you can try posting on the delhi forum or look for delhi groups on Facebook.
