Hello Ladies. I have the urge to pass urine very frequently. Normal sugar levels. There is no problem with the kidneys. Every time I need (when bladder is full) to urinate, I will feel a kind of 'ticklish' sensation in my private part. Sometimes I feel the ticklish sensation on my legs and whole body. I will only feel comfortable after passing urine. I only have this sensation when I am lying down. When sitting or standing, and when there is need to urinate, I will not have the ticklish sensation. Is this bladder overactive?

If I'm not mistaken, this problem started after giving birth to my second child via cesarean 6 years ago. Is it because there was a possibility of damage to the bladder during the cesarean process?

I have a mild bulging disc at level L4, L5. Will get back pain if I carry heavy objects. Sometimes when I carry anything heavy I will get the ticklish sensation in the lower back. I went for physiotherapy 2 to 3 years ago because my leg was painful and I felt numb but the orthopedic doctor said it was not numb because I could feel the touch etc. Could it be that this urination problem has got something to do with my back issue?

Although I have been facing this problem for a long time, but now it makes me very uncomfortable considering the feeling of wanting to urinate very often.

I hope this is not a serious problem and there is no need to see a doctor. If I need to see a doctor, which specialist should I see? I am frightened if I need to see an Urologist, what are the procedures to diagnose my problem? I also feel the doctors may not really understand my issue. Anyone had faced similar issue? Please advice. Thank you so much.

Consult a urogynecologist. This is not an uncommon issue especially after childbirth. In the meantime you can do Kegels exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor.
