    Dear Ladies,

My doc has scheduled me a laproscopy by next week. When i enquired abt the insurance tie ups , they said they dont have cashless hospitalisation and i have to reimburse it from the insurance company later. They are quoting a cost of 30k(approx). I think this is inclusive of room charges. Is this cost on the higher end? Do insurance companies reimburse the laproscopy charges? Please share your thoughts/experiences.

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    VjVid.

    HI Vjvid

Did your Doc suggested you Laproscopic ??

Have u already tried Clomid, fsh injections, iui and all ???

Individual insurance companies have different offers, but most of them wont cover for
fertility related treatments, however you can once consult your insurance company...

Hope you are doing Laproscopic surgery after failed Clomid, fsh injections, iui..

I am pcos too, ttc. Baby dust dear.

I am in TTC dear. I got a laparoscopy done at Prashanth Hospital. They charged Rs.25,000 for thr procedure alone.

Get it done only if absolutely required.

This is a fertility process, so I doubt if it will be covered in your insurance. Do check thoroughly as hardly any Indian insurance company covers fertility treatments

    Hi Suma..

    Thanks for the response.

Yes, like you mentioned we tried for three cycles with Clomid, follicular monitoring and had an injection(not sure if it the FSH injection that you have mentioned.)

Doc want to make sure the tubes are fine, check for adhesions and the uterus before moving ahead with the treatment. We took a second opinion too, even that doc said "you are going in right direction. I would have done exactly the same your doc is doing". Hence we are moving ahead.

Baby dust to you too :)
