Hi All, Resorts in Coorg seem to be attractive but they are very expensive :-( 18k per day. Many suggest home stay at Coorg. Has anyone of you tried Homestays? What's your opinion on Homestays? Kindly share your experiences at Coorg.
Yes home stays are good in Coorg...I have been there 2-3 times..however it's been more than 4 years now most attractive thing about this place is their food...they give very good food and that too in abundance ....
We too went to madikeri and coorg before 2 years . And we stayed in KSTDC Mayura's lodge in bhagamandala. The rooms where very neat and clean. They have a good restaurant too. Thalai cauvery is just 20 mins drive from there. The scenery around the hotel was awesome.
Yes we to stayed in Home stay around two years back, they gave us complimentary break fast that's it, but we were happy with that since the rooms were very clean as it is maintained by the owners who stay in the same building. We stayed around 4 days and throughoutly enjoyed our trip.
Hi, We had been to Coorg this march, and stayed in "Coffee Trails Coorg" home-stay in Virajpet. The rooms where very nicely decorated and were neat and clean. They have a good restaurant too with room service. It was kind of a mini hotel within the actual home-stay campus, with just 4 rooms available for the guests. We really liked the place and enjoyed our stay. The location is so beautiful, that you don't feel like venturing out to enjoy the beauty of coorg.
Kadamkoli is a great homestay. Their rates are reasonable. The homestay is on a coffee plantation and a stream runs by the guest cottages. Beautiful. Check out their website.
Homestays are good. But just ensure that the place you select is safe. Do not compromise on personal safety at any cost. Stay at places that are safe and sound.
You are right they are quite very expensive, this is the basic problem why we can't travel to these places.
