    Hi Uma

    I use brocolli in kootu /molagootal (Kerala style). They taste yummy. Other than dry subzis, you can use brocolis where it is a curry style. It blends well with other vegetables and tastes good.

    Else I too dont klike brocoli

    just peel off the skin and cook with little amount of tamarind and jaggery.

    I make broccoli paruppusili - it is very good.

    Also the stalk portion (not the flowerettes), I peel the skin and use in smabhar ....it tastes like keerai thandu sambhar

    Awesome tips. really helpful and will make life easier in kitchen.
    is it ok to freeze thakkali chutney?
    i usually grind onion and tomato with tamarind. then season it and add chilli pd and salt and let it boil to thicken up.
    will this be good to freeze?
    is it ok to freeze coriander or mint chutney?

    I have never frozen thakkali chutney.......I leave it it fridge and it stays good for atleast a month. I have heard people freezing coriander and mint chutneys - heard of freezing in ice cube trays so that you take out and thaw only a small portion at a time......
