Hi All, There's a cookery competition in my kids school with no conditions...Can choose any food.. Presentation,nutritional value and should speak few lines about the item we prepare. I'm thinking of Eggless Whole wheat Banana cake with almonds. Since it's a loaf cake, I'm confused on how to present it. Currently my ideas are present it with Some glazing over it (with sugar or even dark chocolate) Buttercream Icing (do not prefer it though its for kids as there's no nutrition in it) Garnishing with carved banana/almonds The cake looks like this Banana Cake by creativemumma posted Feb 5, 2017 at 4:23 PM By the way, any other suggestions are also welcome
No experience in competition, but If you are garnishing with banana , after few minutes it may not look good, banana becomes dark and if ripen one it may look messy too Kids mostly don't like dark chocolate, just saying. I know honey. 1 table spoon and half orange juice can be brushed on top of cake, just check if that suits your receipe
