    Hi

My baby is 10 months old. He has constipation problem.
Atleast 3 times in a week, he cries to pass stool and once the first set of stool comes out he feels comfortable to poo out the rest.

Though he tries to max. extent (poor child...i can see his strain in his face), he would cry a lot. And i too will cry on seeing him and leave him to my MIL.
He drinks enough water, juice and takes mashed fruits also. But donno y he suffers like this.

Please give me your guidence to make my baby feel comfortable.:bowdown

    Hi Mahisree,

Try including more fruits and vegetables in his diet. Fruits like banana, chickoo and papaya help in relieving constipation. DD too faced constipation about a couple of months back. Her paed advised us to give her fruits and vegetables(over fruit juices and soups) as they retain the fibre in them.
    Hope this helps.

    Sri

hello,my baby is also someone who gets easily constipated.... and the sureshot thing that works for her is plenty of fluids... esp water... and if u can incorporate pears/prunes in his diet....since he is 10 months you can mix 1 oz baby pears/prunes in his cereal etc....
we had to put my baby on 1 oz diluted prune juice for a day to get her systems moving.
and i had to do a bit of "research" to help relieve her constipation.... i have decided to incorporate atleast 1 oz of prunes/pears or 1 oz of diluted prune juice in her diet every once in a while

    hi mahisree,

you could try boiling some black grapes in water and leaving it overnight. then you can give the water to baby. it helps relieve constipation.

    hope this helps

    Hi Amba

i am giving that for the past 3 days.
Also am feeding him with little green leaves (keerai) and banana daily.
He's finding little free to pooh now.

He's urinating often. That adds to my worry. Nearly 20 times a day.But he takes sufficient fluids also.
Urinary tract infection seem to be negative from the test.
    Bit consoled.

    Hi Amba

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

He's taking all fruits and vegetables without hesitation.
He takes sufficient water also. And the stool is not that hard as before.
But still he's screaming in some sort of pain or fear while poohing.

its really painful to see him cry while he pooh :(
Due to his cry or pain , not sure, he got fever.
Giving Calpol 2.5 ml as per paed advice for every 6 hrs. But his temp reduces after givg medicine and rising after some hours.
The repeating frequency has changed from 6 hours to 8 hours to 10 hours.
Though its below or around 100(only once 100.2 deg),donno y this happens.

Paed adviced to give him normal food as his temp is not above 100.But my MIL says that its not fair to give all veg or fruits during fever. i am really confused.:spin
    Someone plz guide me.
